Almond Milk: A great Way to Celebrate ValentinesDay & Stay on Your Diet



I received Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Almond Milk for review. Almond Milk is not soy milk, and is great for those with dairy or soy sensitivities. As you know I have been cutting back and trying to lose some pounds while becoming healthier. It's important to read labels and know what you are putting into your body.At only 60 Calories per 8 oz glass for the Original, it's a great and flavorful way to cut your calories without sacrificing flavor. The Almond Breeze Almond milk was a huge surprise to me. Why? a surprise? Because as a rule I don't like milk. I believe I even convinced myself I was "Lactose Intolerant" But as I move on in my life to become healthier, dairy is important. I received 3 kinds of Almond Milk. Regular, Vanilla and Chocolate.


I loved using the Regular and the Vanilla in my daily bowl of oatmeal. It gave my oatmeal a boost of flavor and more thickness than just plain water. I also used it in some diet shakes I am trying. The difference was flavorful. I also noticed a difference between the taste and texture of the Almond Breeze as opposed to soy milk. The texture of the Almond Breeze is closer to that of real milk. My boys drank the Chocolate. They loved it. They said they noticed no difference in taste, or texture. Blue Diamond Almond Breeze is available in 5 Delicious Flavors. Original 60 calories per 8 oz serving, Vanilla 90 Calories per 8 oz. serving, Chocolate 45 Calories per 8 oz serving and Un-Sweetened in Chocolate Only 45 Calories per 8oz. serving (My boys never realized it was un-sweetened),and Regular Un-Sweetened 40 Calories per 8oz serving. Pomegranate Pow

Ingredients



1 cup (8 oz.) Vanilla Almond Breeze® Almondmilk

1/2 cup pomegranate juice

1 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries, partially thawed

1 ripe banana, peeled, sliced and frozen



Preparation



Blend Almond Breeze with remaining ingredients until smooth.

Packs-a-Punch Raspberry-Almond Smoothie



Ingredients



2 cups Almond Breeze® Original

1 12-ounce package frozen raspberries

2 medium bananas, cut into chunks

2-3 tablespoons honey

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

12 fresh raspberries (optional)

8 whole blanched almonds (optional)



Preparation



Combine Almond Breeze® Original, frozen raspberries, bananas, honey and almond extract in a blender; whirl until smooth. Pour into 4 tall glasses and garnish with fresh raspberries and whole almonds if desired.
