Made In Detroit Favorite: Boston Cooler


Despite the name, Boston Coolers originated here in the "D". A cool and refreshing fountain drink made famous by the Vernors company.
Recipe:
Frosted Mug or 8 oz glass (Just rinse glass in warm water & place in freezer for 1 to 2 hours)
1 Long straw
1 Long teaspoon
6 oz. Vernors (If Vernors is not sold near you use any sweet Gingerale)
1 scoop of your favorite Ice Cream (Detroiter's use Stroh's Ice cream)
1 tsp powdered sugar
1 pinch cinnamon

Directions:
Fill your glass 2/3 full with very cold Vernors/Gingerale. Drop in 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream. Then pour in the rest of the Vernors. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon. Enjoy!
