Giving Your Kids The Best Vacation Trip

As parents, you may want to take a family trip your children will remember for the rest of their lives. Some trips are not soon forgotten and certain destinations are perfect for the entire family. Of course, other destinations, such as Las Vegas and Atlantic City simply don't fit for children, even if they say they do. Here's a list of the top five places to take your family for your next vacation.

Five Top Kid Friendly Vacation Spots

1.  Disney World/Disneyland

These are not the same, but they are both perfect for children and adults. Disney World is by far the most popular vacation destination for children and Disneyland isn't far behind. Both are located in warm climates, Disney World in Orlando, Florida and Disneyland in Anaheim, California. These locations offer more than just the Disney theme parks, as well. Orlando is home to a professional NBA team and hosts many PGA and LPGA golf tournaments every year. Anaheim is home to a Major League Baseball team and close to many other popular California travel destinations. Either Disney Park can provide the best vacation for your family this year.

2.  Yellowstone

If your family enjoys nature and you want to travel on a small budget, Yellowstone is a great choice. Home to an assortment of attractions, your family can enjoy hiking, rafting and the beautiful view surrounding this area. This destination allows you to see some of the most famous natural landmarks in the United States including the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, Old Faithful and the Mammoth hot springs. Camping at Yellowstone is very affordable and this destination provides an educational experience.

3.  San Diego

San Diego, California is a top destination for families with kids of all ages. With so much to do including 70 miles of beaches, the San Diego Zoo and a number of other attractions, the whole family can have fun. The zoo is rated as one of the best in the entire country and San Diego offers both professional baseball and football for sports fans.

4.  Washington D.C.

For a more educational trip with plenty of enjoyable tours and attractions, Washington D.C. is a good choice. The National Mall provides great shopping, along with excellent kid-friendly museums, which are all free. Explore the history of the United States or take a day off from the educational tours and take in a professional baseball game.

5.  Yosemite National Park

Another great outdoor location families can enjoy on a budget, Yosemite provides a close location to San Francisco, along with many great attractions. Enjoy 1,200 acres of waterfalls, unique rock formations, large Sequoia trees and natural beauty. You can choose from camping out or staying at The Ahwahnee Hotel. If you get sick of nature, take a day off and travel the couple of hours up to San Francisco for a day in the city.

Any of the five destinations above, along with many others provide attractions for all ages. If you want to plan a memorable trip, start early and make sure, you consider what all your children will enjoy.
